SAN FERNANDO (CNS) – A Newhall man remained behind bars in connection with his wife’s death.
Robert Arvizu, 48, was arrested Sunday about 90 minutes after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies discovered Courtney Arvizu’s body in the living room of their home, according to Deputy Crystal Hernandez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The 25-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She had injuries consistent with blunt force trauma, according to Hernandez.
The deputies were making a welfare check in the 22800 block of Ninth Street in Newhall, Hernandez said.
The suspect could appear this week in a San Fernando courtroom.
