ARIES (March 21-April 19). It has been said that lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place. Tell that to the Empire State Building, which is hit several times a year. Figuratively, this is good news for you. If lightning is good fortune, the lucky strike you had a couple of years ago will be repeated. Let the good times roll like thunder.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You clearly see where you want to go next, and you’re starting to realize you can’t get there alone. To get to the next level, you’re going to need relationships with people who can help you. The best way to make connections is to be good at what you do. Focus on that this week. Pour yourself into your work.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Your optimism affords you great expectations. Keep them in check, though. It would be unwise to base a relationship on what you want to happen. Friendships aren’t built on potential; they are built on common ground that already is. Look for the greatness that exists already. If it’s not there, move on.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). What’s popular isn’t always true, and what’s true may not be popular. However, you need more than a few people on your side now, and you won’t get them there by alienating them. So much of the week will be spent navigating a balance between the political, factual and moral.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Any way you go is a gamble. There’s just no getting around it. Living is risking. Just know that hasty generalizations often lead to mistakes. The small numbers may not represent the whole. Gather as much data as you can handle, sit with it a while, and make your move only when you totally feel it.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You’ll recognize and elevate the special qualities you see in others. This is possible because self-confidence allows you to acknowledge others without getting jealous. Through the writing of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes says, “Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself, but talent instantly recognizes genius.”
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The part of each day in which no one expects anything of you is refreshing. If you have to wake up early or stay up after the world has gone to bed to fully experience this kind of free time, you’ll be willing to do it this week. That may be what it takes to connect with yourself more fully.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Memories are made in the moment. Then they are often changed to suit the story that people want or need to tell. Just because someone says it went down in a certain way doesn’t mean it actually happened like that. Before forming an opinion, take many accounts. Even your own account should be questioned.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). It’s been said that guns rob banks and banks rob worlds. You’ll be considering your own tools, the morality of using them and the scale of it all. In the end, this is about justice. How can you right the wrongs? And if you can’t right them, how can you make sure you don’t perpetuate them?
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Maybe there is a lot of opportunity, benefit and good fortune that comes with knowing who you know. Some of this is chance, but most contacts are made because of who you are and what you do. If you don’t know who you want to know, this week you will start to change that by acting differently.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Because of your obstacles (mostly in the form of difficult people), you’ve grown in different directions than you would have unimpeded. This is what makes you interesting. It’s what makes you better. That’s why it’s silly to blame the opposition or let it deter you when you see it standing in the way of your goal.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Whatever people may say, they are always talking about themselves — especially when the topic is far away from where they happen to be standing. Your gift is that you know how to hear past that impersonal story about distant happenings and read the personal and private story between the lines.
