NORTH HILLS (CNS) — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying whoever killed a man whose body was found in a North Hills apartment after neighbors reported smelling a foul odor.
The victim’s body was found Oct. 1 in an apartment in the 8500 block of Columbus Avenue, near Roscoe Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Fire department personnel called to the scene determined the man had died days earlier, police said
“It was not immediately obvious if the victim met with foul play,” according to an LAPD statement. “Further investigation has led detectives to form the opinion that the victim was murdered.”
The man’s name, cause of death and motive for his killing have not been determined, police said.
Homicide detectives assigned to the LAPD’s Mission Division areinvestigating.
