ARLETA (CNS) — A man suffered a leg wound from bullet fragments when shots were fired as two men locked in a love triangle confronted each other in Arleta, police said.

It happened Oct. 18 by a home in the 9300 block of Dorrington Place, just before 9 p.m., said Sgt. Jim Bender of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Mission Station.

“The suspect confronted the victim and fired rounds into the ground,” Bender said.

Fragments from the shots struck the victim’s lower leg. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The suspect was in custody, Bender said.
