The 28th annual Christmas Basket Program in San Fernando is underway and the San Fernando Police Department (SFPD) and Police Advisory Committee (PAC) are seeking donations.

The goal of SFPD and PAC is to provide holiday baskets of food and toys for 150 or more needy families.

The program is in need of new children’s toys (ages infant to 12 years of age) and financial contributions for food purchases. While local businesses and the San Fernando Police Department are providing much of the needed support, the toy drive still needs the participation of anyone who wants to make this year a Merry Christmas for underprivileged children in San Fernando.

Donations will be received up to Dec. 18. They can be dropped off at the San Fernando Police Department, located at 910 First Street, San Fernando. Financial contributions can be made payable to the San Fernando Police Advisory Council and dropped off or mailed to 910 First Street, San Fernando, CA 91340. Contributions to the San Fernando Police Advisory Council, a charitable non-profit organization (501c3), are tax deductible as allowed by law.

If you would like to make a donation, please contact Elena Gonzalez (818) 898-1250 or Maria Quinonez (818) 898-1277 at the San Fernando Police Department.
