GLENDALE (CNS) – Glendale police arrested a burglary suspect and sought at least three accomplices.

The investigation began about 1:30 a.m., when officers went to the 900 block of East Colorado Street on a report that two suspects were committing a window-smash burglary at the Wok Talk Chinese restaurant, said Glendale police Sgt. Robert William.

“The suspects were then seen fleeing in a dark-colored sedan by a witness,” William said.

A short time later, an officer saw a vehicle and occupants matching the description that was given to police. As the officer was approaching the car, three males got out and ran, and the driver sped off, William said. The officer chased the vehicle, but the driver got away.

“It was later determined (that) three other businesses were burglarized within the same time frame and within the same general area of the city,” William said.

About 5:40 a.m., an officer saw a male walking in the area where the original suspects had fled on foot, and police took him into custody, William said.

“It was later confirmed (that) this suspect was one of the original three who exited and fled from the suspect vehicle,” William said late this morning.

“The investigation is still ongoing and detectives are still compiling evidence and searching for surveillance footage.”

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.
