PANORAMA CITY (CNS) – Authorities have identified a knife-wielding man who was killed in an officer-shooting in Panorama City.

Officers dispatched at 10 p.m on Saturday, April 30, in response to a call of domestic violence in the area of Parthenia Street and Orion Avenue entered a location and found a woman lying on the floor, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect, allegedly armed with two knives, approached the officers, who opened fire, police said.

Marion Habana, 28, of North Hills died at the scene, coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.
