LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Nightly lane closures on the Ventura (101) Freeway through the San Fernando Valley are expected to continue causing traffic delays this weekend, Caltrans officials announced.
Lanes will be reduced and on-ramps closed on the northbound side of the freeway to allow crews to install pre-cast concrete slabs, repave lanes and install new guard rails through Saturday, July 9, according to Patrick Chandler of Caltrans.
Up to three lanes will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the northbound Ventura Freeway between Sepulveda Boulevard and Tampa Avenue, Chandler said.
The connector from the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the Ventura Freeway will also be closed during those hours, Chandler said.
On Friday and Saturday between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., up to three lanes of the northbound Ventura Freeway will be closed from Parkway Calabasas to Las Virgenes Road, Chandler said.
Motorists should expect delays and consider using alternate routes, such as the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway.
