VAN NUYS (CNS) — The probation violation hearing for former licensed doctor Kevin Pezeshki was continuing at press time in Van Nuys Court, to determine if the convicted felon will face prison time.

Pezeshki, 47, of Tarzana, had his license revoked in 2013 after being convicted of sexually abusing a patient at a Northridge hospital. He admitted to inappropriately touching a female patient during a 2008 exam at Northridge Hospital Medical Center and pleaded no contest in 2013 to one felony count of sexual battery by fraud.

He was then sentenced to three years probation and a year of counseling. The judge also ordered Pezeshki to register for life as a sexual offender.

Pezeshki is now  facing charges of violating his probation for allegedly conducting ultrasound exams on pregnant women at a Panorama City clinic, prosecutors said. Prosecutors now allege that the former doctor performed ultrasounds on two women at St. Joseph Medical Center.

If found to have violated his probation, Pezzeshki could face up to four years in prison, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Gregory Dohi revoked Pezeshki’s probation on June 27 in response to those allegations.
