San Fernando Police Department (SFPD) detectives continue to investigate various leads into the shooting incident on Tuesday, Aug. 23, that left one woman with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The SFPD received a 911 call at approximately 4:55 p.m. on Tuesday, of shots being fired in the area of Pico and Wolfskill streets. Detectives eventually located the wounded female, who has not been identified. The victim was transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department for treatment.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24, SFPD Robbery Homicide Detective Jorge Cervantes said the suspect or suspects fled in a black Toyota or Honda vehicle.

Based on their preliminary investigation, detectives believe the shooting is possibly gang related.
