SUN VALLEY (CNS) – Authorities today sought possible witnesses to the fatal injury of a Van Nuys man who was hit by a pickup truck in the Sun Valley area.

The man, in his 50s, was struck about 7 p.m. Sunday in the 8200 block of Lankershim Boulevard and died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

The pedestrian, whose name was being withheld pending notification of his family, was struck by 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. The driver, a 25-year-old North Hollywood woman, remained at the scene and was not arrested or cited, said Los Angeles police Detective William Bustos of the Valley Traffic Division.
