Ed. Note: The San Fernando Valley/El Sol’s Facebook page received strong reader reaction to the death of Sylmar resident Eloise Elizarraraz, 34, who was found shot to death and lying on the ground next to black BMW vehicle at the intersection of Harding Street and Tripoli Avenue on Jan. 7. Police later learned a registered nurse found Elizarraraz inside the car and attempted to revive her with CPR before calling 911, authorities said. The investigation into Elizarraraz’s death is continuing.

Rosa Gomez: “Harding street is a very violent area. Stabbing shooting all kinds of a deadly activities. Hope they get the bastered (sic).”
Tony Priscilla Martin: “I’ve lived here for 22 years it’s not violent at all nothing like this has ever happened. This was a domestic dispute and it’s unfortunate that this had to happen. I know the people involved and my heart breaks for the family.”
Richard Ruiz: “That section of Harding Street in Sylmar is not a violent area. I lived there myself on Gridley and Cutler place for about seven years and there was never any violence in that section of Sylmar. Perhaps Harding Street in San Fernando California. Condolences go out to the young girl and her family got (sic) bless her soul.”
Irma Urzua: “This happened 2 doors from where I live. First violent thing that has happened in the 15 years I’ve lived here. Hope they find who did this.”
Rosana Diaz: “So sad known her for yrs as a young teen, she was a beautiful person growing up in Pacoima Ca and getting out and going on with her life to better it and have a better life for herself and kids sad so young now shes (sic) in the heavans (sic) with our Lord and her brother that was also taken very young i feel for her children and mother now lost two to violence same outcome so tragic May God condosole (sic) her pain and help them find peace until they meet again God Bless…”
