The name of the woman stabbed to death at her home in the 1000 block of Griswold early this morning has not yet been released, however San Fernando Police Chief Tony Vairo told the San Fernando Valley Sun/El Sol,  she was 34 years- old and the suspect, currently in custody, is the woman’s 41- year-old husband. Police have not yet released his name.

“This is a case of domestic violence,” Vairo said.  “It’s very unfortunate, there are three young children who now don’t have their mother.” Vairo said a relative who lives on the property called 9-1-1 but emergency personnel could not save the woman’s life. Police arrested her husband at the scene.  “He didn’t attempt to flee, we arrested him at their home,” Vairo said.  “We will release their names after next of kin have been properly notified.” Vairo indicated that the crime occurring very early this morning with the body discovered at 3:00 a.m. was “fortunately not witnessed by their children.”
