While police and the FBI are conducting their search, members of the community are doing what they can to help find 14-year old Elias Rodriguez. They will gather today, Friday Feb. 24, at 3:30 p.m., at the Pacoima Wash Park.
“We are hoping to talk to anyone who may have seen him,” said resident Sandra Garcia Wilson. “Right now, we have a small group, but we are hoping more will join us.”
“We are passing out flyers with plastic sheet protectors so that they don’t get destroyed in the rain, we know more rain is expected this weekend.” Garcia Wilson said.
Tomorrow, Saturday, February 25, residents and Elias’ family members will gather in front of Cesar Chavez Learning Academy starting at 7:00 A.M.
Residents told the San Fernando Valley Sun/El Sol that they plan to go to local shelters in the area and will be going to libraries and post offices.
“Whatever can we do to help find Elias and help his family, we want to help,” said Garcia Wilson.
