Kentucky vs UCLA

Two of the most storied men’s basketball programs clash tonight, March 24, when the UCLA Bruins and Kentucky Wildcats meet in the Sweet 16 round of the South Region of the NCAA Tournament. The game, in Memphis, TN, is scheduled be televised on CBS at 6:39 p.m.

UCLA (31-4), seeded third, has won 11 national championships. Kentucky (31-5), seeded second, has won eight championships. The teams met earlier this season, with the Bruins defeating the Wildcats, 97-92, in Kentucky in December.

This will be the third time the teams have faced off in the tournament. UCLA beat Kentucky in the 1975 championship game for their 10th title, and the Wildcats knocked out the Bruins in the Sweet 16 round of the 1998 tournament. Kentucky went on to win the national title that year.
