ARIES (March 21-April 19)

You’ve already been tested in so many ways — the test of a small but persistent irritation, the test of a formidable opponent, the test of having everything happen at once. This week’s test is the opposite. What do you do when nothing happens at all? It’s an opportunity for astounding creativity and resourcefulness.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Without events and conflicts there will be no story. That’s why you treat what has happened to you as a gift. It’s also why you’re not afraid of what’s going to happen if you put yourself out there. You have something to lose; that’s true. But zero risk equals zero reward. Also, sometimes the reward is just a better story.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

Small acts of rudeness are dangerous: They can lead to feelings of animosity that build into emotional masses of negativity that can fester and transform into full-blown hate. It’s why the details of social interaction are important. You’ll be conscientious. You’ll make it nicer wherever you can.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

You may not be ready to forgive, but at least find a version of it that you can get comfortable with. Acceptance will be involved — which might come in the form of recognizing a person’s nature and being willing and ready to work around the faults. Letting go will be involved, too, because dwelling on things will be toxic.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Opportunity should be knocking now. If it’s not, you’d be wise to figure out why. Is your phone turned on? Are you getting your emails? What about your physical location: Are you putting yourself where the opportunities are? “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” — Milton Berle

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

What’s called quitting, abandonment and giving up is also called letting go, liberation and moving on: same action, different intention. This week, don’t stop out of weakness or boredom or exhaustion. Stop out of a sense of completion. Stop because it’s smart. Stop so you can start something better.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23)

Your curious mind will not be entirely satisfied, but the drips and drops of satisfaction that you do get from learning will keep you on the quest for knowledge the entire week. It’s addicting in the most scientific sense. Your brain actually gets a hit of serotonin with every astounding thing you learn. But it’s a fortifying addiction.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)

Most of the worries — in fact, 99.9 percent of them — will never come to fruition. But worry isn’t useless. If you let it do its job, worry can motivate you to ready yourself, to get ahead of the action and to be smarter and more alert. The trick is not to let it bog you down. Don’t wallow. Don’t dwell. Keep it all moving along.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

It’s said that the past has no power over the present, but that’s like saying the computer code has no power over the function of the computer: ridiculous. Memory is real. It’s a code with the power to animate us. Ignore at your own peril. Confront and converse with memory instead. Seek understanding.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You’ve the sneaking suspicion that the takeaway from the current course of action will be a big bag of mixed results. No worries. This is a fine position. A mixed bag will be better. You’ll learn more than you would with the gold-medal top prize. And you’ll have more fun and meet more people sorting through this.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

It’s not that you don’t have a choice. You have many. The thing is that there are no clear winners this week. As you try and project the consequences for each decision you will find that even seemingly opposite decisions wind up in a similar place or condition. Take it as good news. Don’t agonize; just move.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

So much of your life is run on a feeling. You’ll be in a group and you’ll just know that one person is someone you need to know, and this other person, not so much. It’s not based on appearances. You would know it with your eyes closed. You feel the vibrations coming from people and you know when it’s a match.
