Remembering a Skateboarder

An altar was built in the to remember Angel Maciel, 28, who was gunned down on Oct. 29. Police say Maciel was riding his skateboard when a vehicle pulled alongside of him and an unknown suspect or suspects fired multiple rounds.

A makeshift altar has been created by friends and acquaintances in memory of Angel Maciel, who was shot and killed in Arleta.

Maciel, 28, was gunned down in the 9900 block of Stanwin Avenue on Oct. 29., according to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) investigators. They said in a statement that Maciel was riding his skateboard “when a vehicle pulled alongside of him and an unknown suspect or suspects fired multiple rounds.”

Police continue to investigate the shooting but have not yet released descriptions of the suspects or a vehicle. They are seeking the public’s help in the gathering of information.
