PACOIMA (CNS) — A “suspicious” fire damaged a liquor store in a strip mall here, but no one was hurt.

Firefighters were sent to the 13200 block of Osborne Street at 3:19 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1, and extinguished the flames in the single-story building in 16 minutes, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The fire was reported about 3:30 a.m. in the area of Remick Avenue and Osborne Street.

The cause of the fire was listed as “suspicious and under investigation,”  Humphrey said.

Authorities went to the strip mall after a burglar alarm went off, a news photographer reported from the scene.
