Hundreds of Valley area residents turned out to cheer and salute former and current military members at the 14th annual Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 11. Spectators held posters, banners and waved flags as more than 100 entries passed by on the 1.1 mile parade route down Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Mission Hills received cheers and applause. Among those appearing was Pfc. Alvin Solomon (top) who served in WWII and, at age 100, was the oldest Veteran in the parade.
