LOS ANGELES (CNS) — A woman led police on a chase from the Pacoima area to Valencia on Wednseday, Nov. 15, where she got stuck in traffic and was pulled from the car and taken into custody.
It was not immediately clear if she was the same person who eluded authorities in a pursuit Tuesday night from Anaheim into Los Angeles County. Citing police, NBC4 reported the same woman was involved in both pursuits.
On Tuesday night, police had chased Colleen Mullen, 54, of Buena Park, for allegedly violating a restraining order, but called off the pursuit. Buena Park police Lt. Rich Forsyth said he could not immediately confirm whether Mullen was the woman who was taken into custody by police late this morning in Valencia.
Wednesday morning’s chase began shortly before 10 a.m., when Los Angeles police officers tried to pull over the driver of a white sedan for possibly being under the influence, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The woman kept going, and the chase led onto the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway and then onto the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway.
A few minutes later, the motorist exited at Roxford Street, then got onto the northbound 5 Freeway, exiting about 10:20 a.m. onto eastbound McBean Parkway in the Valencia area.
About five minutes later, the car got stuck in traffic at an intersection and was bumped from behind by a pursuing patrol car. A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer then ran to the driver’s side of the car and pulled the woman out of the vehicle.
