GHCHS Wins Unofficial Round of Academic Decathlon

Granada Hills Charter High has once again made itself the school to beat in this year’s LAUSD Academic Decathlon. The Highlanders — who are the reigning regional, state and national champions —  won the Feb. 3 “Super Quiz” unofficial competition at Roybal Learning Center in Los Angeles with 82 points. Second place finishers El Camino Real Charter High and Franklin High of Los Angeles each totaled 79 points. The final decathlon competition results will be announced on Sunday, Feb. 11, at Belmont High. The team with the highest score and additional wildcard teams will compete in the 2018 California Academic Decathlon, scheduled for March in Sacramento.
