March & Rally LA

In the wake of one of the tragic school shooting in Parkland, Fla. in February, at least 60,000 Los Angeles students, as well as adults, are expected to march through the streets of downtown LA on Saturday, March 24, to demand that not one more person dies as a result of gun violence in schools, local communities, movie theatres, malls, nightclubs, concerts — or anywhere.

With their feet on the ground, chants on their lips and determination to create results, a young generation of Angelenos joins with youth in cities around the country to tell legislators, “We are not too young to make change happen! We will no longer wait for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of school shootings that has become far too familiar to all of us.”

The march begins at 10 a.m., proceeding down Broadway and Spring streets and culminating in Grand Park with a full program of speakers and performers. Marchers will convene one block from Pershing Square at 5th Street and Broadway in downtown Los Angeles. The check-in begins at  8:30 a.m., along with a pre-march rally that will include students, survivors of previous mass shootings including Columbine, Las Vegas and the Seal Beach California salon shooting.

“March for Our Lives Los Angeles” is part of a nationwide call to action, seeking to bring such deadly mass shootings to an end.
