Ramona Acevez was born November 30, 1931 in Tajirachi Chihuahua, Mexico and passed away in Mission Hills, CA on the evening of April 20, 2018. She came to California in the early 50’s with her sister Celestina Morales and her brother-in-law David Morales.
She worked at Thomas Organs & Electronics until she retired in the early 1980’s. She took on the role of grandparent full-time, which she shared with her husband, Eulalio Acevez; they both enjoyed caring for their many grandchildren throughout the years.
Ramona was an active member of the Las Palmas Senior Citizens Club; she loved to travel and enjoyed going to the casinos. She also loved spending time in her rose garden and picking fruit off her trees.
She will be reunited with her husband, Eulalio, and son Miguel Angel Acevez. She is survived by her three daughters, Marina (Jim) Fowlds, Margie (John) Herrera, and Anna Maria Acevez-Funes, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, soon to be fourteen.
Viewing will be held at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary on Friday May 4, 2018 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. Rosary at 7:00pm.
Mass will be at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, in the Mortuary Chapel, on Saturday May 5, 2018 at 11:00am.
Burial will be at San Fernando Mission Cemetery following the mass.
