San Fernando Valley Chorale Seeking New Singers

Shortly after Labor Day, the Valley Chorale begins a new season of singing, collaborative learning, camaraderie and fun in preparation for its holiday concerts.

“We hold no auditions. We do nice and original music, sacred and secular. The music is fun and not too difficult,” said director Conrad Immel.

“You never know who is going to show up for the Christmas Concert. — last year it was Elvis and Santa Claus. We are a very social group — we love everybody.”

New singers, with a love of music and a willingness to share their gift of singing, are welcome to join.

Lead rehearsals begin Tuesday, Sept. 4, and continue on Tuesdays from 7:30 p.m. to  9:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, located at10000 Sepulveda Blvd. in Mission Hills.

The Valley Chorale, a nonprofit, non-sectarian group of men and women singers, performs two concerts each season — in December for the holidays and in May or early June for a spring songfest.
