The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) will be offering free rides on its transit system this Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve to help L.A. County residents enjoy the holidays safely and without the hassle of driving. 

No fares will be charged on all Metro Rail and Bus lines starting at 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24 until 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25, and from 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31 until 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. Those traveling after 2 a.m. will need to pay their fare using a TAP card.
