PACOIMA (CNS) — Authorities continue to investigate and also seek the public’s help to find a hit-and-run motorist responsible for the death of a pedestrian in Pacoima.
The 60-year-old man was struck about 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, on San Fernando Road near Truesdale Avenue and died a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Authorities have withheld the victim’s name, pending notification of his relatives.
According to police, the man had just gotten out of a parked vehicle and was crossing San Fernando Road when he was hit by a dark-colored vehicle — possibly a black Lexus SUV — that kept going. No driver description was available.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male pedestrian to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A standing reward of up to $50,000 is in effect for information that helps police solve a fatal hit-and-run crash in the city of Los Angeles.
