The 60-year-old man was struck about 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, on San Fernando Road near Truesdale Avenue and died a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Authorities have withheld the victim’s name, pending notification of his relatives.

According to police, the man had just gotten out of a parked vehicle and was crossing San Fernando Road when he was hit by a dark-colored vehicle — possibly a black Lexus SUV — that kept going. No driver description was available.
