The San Fernando City Council is reminding residents of the various mental health services that are available to those in need

“The San Fernando City Council would like to wish you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season,” City officials stated in a release.

“We know these joyous times are also very challenging for many, especially considering how COVID19 has impacted the way we will all be celebrating this year.  We urge everyone to take the time to take care of yourself and your mental health this holiday season,” the release said.

There are many resources available through the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, including free access to Headspace, a meditation app for all Los Angeles County residents.

The public can sign up to access meditations, as well as sleep and movement exercises, designed to help you care for your mind — all free through 2020. They can also explore a special collection curated for residents of LA county.
