A beloved Southern California holiday tradition is back — Los Angeles Zoo Lights, featuring nearly 50 nights of safe holiday fun.

The show reopened on Nov. 19, after a temporary closure last year due to the pandemic. It is scheduled to run through Jan. 9, 2022. It will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

LA Zoo Lights is a winter wonderland featuring wildlife-inspired displays, dynamic lights and projections, immersive interactive experiences, fabulous photo ops, and seasonal magic. Open nightly, the event features holiday treats, food, and exciting entertainment.

“We are thrilled to be bringing back one of the City’s most anticipated holiday traditions this year with a Zoo Lights celebration like none other,” said Denise M. Verret, CEO & Zoo Director.

“This year’s event is a renewed opportunity for the community to safely celebrate the season with family and friends and create lifelong memories as we head into the new year with hope and optimism.”

Visitors will enjoy exciting holiday features and entertainment for the 2021-2022 season, including beautifully lit animals, unique hand-crafted Chinese silk lanterns, and a high-tech interactive display where dancing lights respond to guests’ voices.

Every evening will be a holiday wonderland with a disco ball forest, whimsical 3-D animations, and much more. Guests will be greeted at the Zoo entrance with a stunning 90-foot-long shimmering wall of lights featuring wintery snowflake displays set to music.

Zoo Lights’ popular Twinkle Tunnel also returns and is now more Instagramable than ever. These enhancements will create an immersive “Tunnel of Lights” experience within the massive 200-foot-long structure.

COVID-19 Requirements:

Face masks are required for all guests aged two and older in indoor and enclosed public settings, including retail and food service locations, and restrooms. Guests who are not fully vaccinated are recommended by the CDC to wear face masks outdoors as well.

Changes to the event status may occur. To ensure your safety and the safety of our staff, the Zoo continues to monitor local COVID-19 trends and meet or exceed protocols mandated by local governments.

By purchasing tickets to this event, unless prohibited by law, you agree to abide by the health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event. Entry requirements and venue protocols are subject to change. Be sure to check your event venue website for the latest information.

Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or https://bit.ly/LAZoo_Lights. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Parking is free and there will be holiday entertainment on weekends.
