A recreational trailer parked on San Fernando Road, east of Polk Street, became engulfed in flames in the evening of Friday, Feb. 25.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze; no other structures appeared to be damaged.
The fire’s location was in a street area where homeless people have encamped and vehicles have appeared to have been parked there for long periods of time.
LAFD spokesperson Capt. Brian Humphrey said investigators were still determining the vehicle identification number of the burned trailer, and whether or not it was operational.
