EVENTOS Locales – Semana de 26 de enero, 2023

A rally was held on Tuesday, August 2, in front of Senator Bob Hertzberg’s Van Nuys field office to urge his support of the VISION Act (AB 937.) The Vision Act, authored by Assemblymember Wendy Carrillo is currently on the Senate Floor.  The legislation would protect immigrants who are eligible for release from being transferred to jails and state prison and routed to immigration detention. It would also prevent the use of local and state dollars to funnel immigrants to detention.
