Padilla, Cardenas, Martinez, Rivas Endorse Bass in LA Mayoral Race

Rep. Karen Bass secured the support of Northeast San Fernando Valley representatives, chalking up several more key endorsements in her run for Los Angeles mayor.

US Sen. Alex Padilla, Congressman Tony Cardenas, Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez and Assemblywoman Luz Rivas made the announcement in front of San Fernando High School Wednesday, Aug.10.  Padilla is the first Latino US senator to represent California. Martinez, Cárdenas and Rivas are all elected officials serving the San Fernando Valley.

Her opponent businessman Rick Caruso has been backed by former Mayor Richard Riordan, business groups including the Los Angeles County Business Federation, the Los Angeles Police Protective League, and celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Elon Musk and Snoop Dogg.
