LAPD North Hollywood Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect who killed Michael Pebley, a resident of Pacoima.
On Oct. 9, around 5:50 p.m., North Hollywood patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting in the 6300 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard. When the officers arrived, they discovered the victim lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound.
The suspect was inside a business in the 6300 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard when the victim walked in. The victim and suspect became involved in an argument that escalated to a physical fight. The suspect and victim exited the business, at which time the suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim. The suspect fled the area.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced Pebley dead at the scene.
The suspect is described as a Latino or White male approximately 5-feet 10-inches to 5-feet 11-inches tall, weighing between 190-200 pounds, and 25-30 years old.
