RESEDA (CNS) – A man died and at least two other people were injured last night (Sunday)  in a multi-vehicle fiery crash involving at least four or five cars in Reseda.

It was reported at 8:06 p.m. at 7636 N. Corbin Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.

A community resident said that street racing is a problem in the neighborhood.

A man, estimated at 25 to 30 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center Officers at the scene had not yet determined whether street racing was the cause of the crash, the desk officer said, but a witness told Fox11 that two racing vehicles had caused the wreckage.

Video from the scene showed a pickup surrounded by at least three mangled cars as well as another pickup on its two front wheels, backed onto a street pole.

One seriously injured patient was trapped inside wreckage before being taken to a hospital by paramedics, Stewart said. Three others were evacuated at the scene, she said.

In all, two patients were hospitalized with injuries not believed life-threatening the desk officer said.

An engine block separated from a vehicle and sitting in the road was on fire whenfirefighters arrived, Stewart said.
