RESEDA (CNS) – A 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault in Reseda, and police asked any possible additional victims to come forward.
Blessing Wainiwheh was detained late Wednesday night, and detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Valley Division released his booking photo because they believe he may have targeted other victims.
At about 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, Wainiwheh allegedly entered through a window of a woman’s residence in the 19500 block of Saticoy Street in Reseda, police said. He allegedly sexually assaulted the sleeping woman, then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction, according to the LAPD.
Police fanned out in the area and found the suspect hiding inside a home he had allegedly broken into near the victim’s residence, police said.
He was booked into jail Thursday morning and was being held in lieu of $1 million bail, according to inmate records.
