Although a court order was issued to vacate the property by Sunday, residents of the makeshift RV park on Hubbard Street in Sylmar were still packing up their belongings today.
One resident was Jesus Rodriguez, who lived on the property for a year and a half. He had to miss work so he could gather all his belongings into his car. Rodriguez described the moving out process as “chaotic,” saying that he had a flat-screen TV that he can’t find after leaving it out.
Rodriguez said that he has been moved to a shelter, but he doesn’t know how long that will last and is worried as to where he will live.
