LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A man was killed in a car-to-car shooting in the Valley Village area of Los Angeles, authorities said today.

The shooting occurred at about 2:20 p.m. Saturday in the 11900 block of Chandler Avenue, between Ben and Colfax avenues, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Norma Eisenman told City News Service.

Arriving officers found the victim in the driver seat of a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the man, about 40 to 45 years old, dead at the scene.

“Detectives from Valley Bureau Homicide were notified and responded to the scene,” according to a police statement. “Detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and further evidence. There is no suspect information and the motive is unknown.”

The shooting occurred in a neighborhood of apartment buildings.
