David Govea, 64, of San Fernando, CA, passed away on April 12 at his home in Chatsworth, CA.
Life Story
David was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, papa, and friend. He was born in San Fernando on September 14, 1960. He grew up playing baseball and set records at Polytechnic High School and Cal State Northridge, eventually being drafted by the California Angels. After his baseball career, David found joy in golf, fatherhood, grandfatherhood, and coaching both baseball and softball.
Family
David is survived by his mother, Margaret Govea; his wife, Delia Govea; his children, Jeremiah Pastel, Alexander Govea, and Kristin Glasser-Govea; his grandchildren, Jalen Pastel, Ava Govea, and Olivia Govea; and his siblings, Cynthia Govea, Jaime Govea, Karina Lopez, and Mario Lopez.
