The Savannah Bananas, a touring baseball team known for unconventional rules, choreographed dancing and trick plays, will make their Dodger Stadium debut next April.

The Bananas will face the Firefighters on April 23-24, 2027, as part of the Banana Ball World Tour.

The Firefighters are a touring team in the Banana Ball Championship League, which includes the Savannah Bananas and four other teams. The Firefighters do not represent a municipal fire department, and the league does not identify a hometown for the team.

The games will mark the Bananas’ first appearances at Dodger Stadium. Starting times have not been announced.

Founded in Savannah, Georgia, in 2016, the Bananas have become a national attraction with a faster-paced version of baseball that incorporates music, dancing, trick plays and audience participation.

Banana Ball features a two-hour time limit and rules that differ from conventional baseball, including a ban on bunting and a provision allowing spectators to record an out by catching a foul ball.

Batters can also attempt to steal first base, and teams earn points by winning individual innings rather than relying solely on a cumulative run total.

The Bananas, founded by Jesse Cole, began as a collegiate summer baseball team before shifting exclusively to professional Banana Ball in 2022.

The 2027 tour is scheduled to visit 79 stadiums in 74 cities, including 23 Major League Baseball stadiums and 10 football stadiums. The tour will also expand internationally, with games planned in Canada and Mexico.

Fans seeking tickets for the Dodger Stadium games must register for a ticket lottery at bananaball.com/tickets by 8:59 p.m. Oct. 31.

Registration does not guarantee an opportunity to purchase tickets. Organizers said prospective buyers will be selected through a random drawing before the games and notified if chosen.

The timing of registration will not affect an applicant’s chances of being selected, according to organizers.
