Two suspects in a Simi Valley burglary led police Monday on a high-speed chase that ended at California State University Northridge, where they were arrested shortly before noon. Students with classes in the nearby Performing Arts building were evacuated which was an unexpected disruption for what was for them, their first day back to college.
CSUN campus police arrested Andrew Coombes of Oxnard and Melissa Reilly of Menifee and turned them over to Simi Valley police. The pair driving with flattened tires turned into the campus from Nordhoff on Lindley Street abandoning a minivan before being taken into custody.
