SANTA CLARITA (CNS) – Authorities circulated a photo of a Tulare County woman who’s been missing since March 22 and whose van was later found abandoned on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita.
Mary Joann Lyles, 49, is white, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 330 pounds, and has blonde hair and hazel eyes.
“Her family is concerned because she is diabetic and might not have her medication with her,” a sheriff’s statement said.
Lyles drove away from her home without her cell phone or bank card, authorities said. Her white, 1998 Ford Windstar van was later found by the California Highway Patrol on the 14 Freeway near San Canyon Road.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121, or Tulare County sheriff’s Detective Rodney Klassen at (559) 733-6218.
