BURBANK (CNS) – Police were investigating the death and possible suicide of a 19-year-old man who lives in Tarzana but whose body was found next to the Burbank Metrolink train station, a Burbank police spokesman said.

The body of Jinoo Ha, who also has unspecified ties to Burbank, was found on the Olive Avenue overpass, which is next to the train station about 9:20 p.m. Saturday, Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco said.

Officers had responded to a “shots fired” call, Losacco continued.

A handgun was discovered at the scene and detectives believed that Ha shot himself. A final determination on a cause of death awaits and autopsy, but Losacco said the case was being treated as a suicide at this point.

The discovery of Ha’s body shut down the Olive Avenue overpass for a time, Losacco added.

Anyone with information on this case was asked to call Burbank detectives at (818) 238-3210.
