PACOIMA (CNS) — LAPD investigators are still searching the driver of a White Dodge Dart that caused a multiple injuries, including a young woman critically.
The collision occurred Dec. 20 at Borden Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard at 8:20 p.m., said Sgt. Bill Kelly of the department’s Valley Traffic Division.
The Dodge Dart crashed into a Honda Civic, fracturing the skull of the Honda’s driver, a woman in her 20s, and injuring the two men with her to a lesser degree, Kelly said.
The woman was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where she was in intensive care.
The Dodge driver then left the car and fled the scene, Kelly said.
The accident’s location is part of an nearly mile-long stretch or roadway between Foothill and Glenoaks boulevards on Van Nuys. There are three lanes of available highway on each side. There is mixture of residential housing — including the Shadow Hills Mobile Home Park and Las Palmas Apartments — and industrial business like Paskal Lighting.
