The weather cooled down in time for the 2nd Annual Chile Festival held in the San Fernando Mall. The crowd enjoyed salsa dancing, salsa eating and chili salsa contests. Baltazar Martinez won the dance contest and Mrs. Reyes won the salsa cooking contest. Kids enjoyed chili face painting, rock climbing, creating chili art and entertainment.
Organizers for the event said the two-day festival celebrated the vibrant ingredient used in so many cuisines world wide.
