The Cesar Chavez Commemorative Committee/SFV honored four people who were selected as “Warriors for Justice” at their annual dinner. The award was presented to community activists “who are improving the lives of workers and immigrants”.   This year’s award was presented to: (L-R)    Alejandra Valles, Chief of Staff, United Service Workers West; Angelica Salas, Executive Director, Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles; Margarita Montanez, community activist and “Danzante”; Eliseo Medina, Executive Vice-president, Service Employees International (emeritus) and Vice President, United Farm Workers Union (retired). Proceeds from this event will help to support the 25th Annual Cesar Chavez March for Justice scheduled for April 8 at Brand Park in Mission Hills.
