EVENTOS Locales – Semana de 14 de mayo, 2026

On the  Move:  The traveling mural, “No Mas Family Separations,” first installed in the City of San Fernando has left the San Fernando Valley and has been recently installed at the entrance of the Teocalli Academy in downtown Fresno.  The mural created by Mission Hills artist Lalo Garcia was designed to bring awareness to the issue of the thousands of children that have been separated from their families at the border and placed in for-profit detention centers, a vistage of the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance immigration policy. Immigrant advocates have urged the Biden administration to step up their efforts for reunification.  This art installation is intentionally displayed behind a chain-link fence, depicting the imprisonment and trauma inflicted on detained children. “No Mas Family Separations,”  will be in the Central Valley for the next month and may move to the Bay area of the state next.
