Hutchinson Proves That There Are People With Principles

To the Editor,

White House Staff assistant Cassidy Hutchinson, 25, gave the first testimony proving that Trump knew of the Jan. 6 threat. Her words echo those of Clark Clifford words on the US culpability for the Vietnam War.

“A lie is a lie!”

Hutchinson proves that there are people with principles and the amor propio (self-respect) to defend it. 

The truth is that neoliberalism is killing public education and many of our so-called leaders are looking the other way. It is the right of every student to receive a free public education. And let it be known that it is being sold out by opportunists in academe and the communities.

Even those who condemn neoliberalism like Noam Chomsky don’t appear ready to fight for education. Hutchinson will be maligned, but she will have her self-respect.
