Over an estimated 200,000 people lined the streets of downtown Los Angeles on Friday for the parade celebrating the Dodgers’ World Series championship. Members of the Dodgers were cheered on by fans as they made their way along the route atop double-decker buses before a celebration at Dodger Stadium.
Fans began lining up early in the morning along the parade route, which started at City Hall at 11 a.m. and ended near Fifth and Figueroa streets.
The celebration was held on the late Fernando Valenzuela’s birthday, who passed days before the first game of the series.
