There was heavy police activity led by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported near the intersection of Brand Boulevard and Kewen Street in the City of San Fernando at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Dec. 5.
LAPD blocked traffic on the 900 block of Kewen Street in all directions.
According to an update provided by the public information office of the LAPD, the presence of numerous law enforcement officers was due to an assault with a deadly weapon investigation from October 2024 in LAPD’s Topanga Division. Two search warrants were served and one suspect was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
