A 29-year-old male has been arrested in connection with a series of felony vandalism cases that have plagued the City of San Fernando for several months, reported the San Fernando Police Department (SFPD).
The suspect, Chris Ramirez Vasquez, was taken into custody by SFPD officers after he was seen vandalizing property at a local church earlier today. An eyewitness contacted the local police department, and patrol units arrived shortly after and arrested Ramirez Vasquez.
The suspect was seen fleeing the scene of the vandalism into a nearby apartment complex, where he is believed to reside. Officers surrounded the location and eventually made entry into the apartment, locating Ramirez Vasquez, who was hiding inside. He was arrested without further incident.
Ramirez Vasquez is accused of causing between $3,000 and $4,000 in damage to both public and private property across the city, reportedly tagging the moniker “Blur.” In addition to felony vandalism, he was also wanted for making criminal threats in a separate incident.
