EVENTOS Locales – Semana de 9 de abril, 2026

More than 100 runners of different ages and fitness levels gathered at the intersection of Maclay Avenue and Eighth Street in the early morning of Feb. 28 for the 10th annual San Fernando Valley Mile, where they raced towards the finish line on Fourth Street. Runners looking to finish the mile as fast as possible lead the pack, while those who decided to take a more leisurely pace fell back. The event also included a shorter run for families with small children.

At the finish line, each runner, including pets, was given a medal to mark their participation in this community event. (SFVS/el Sol Photos/Gabriel Arizon)
